The GTC Awards, presented in association with Zerb, and sponsored by the Vitec Group, will take place on 11 May 2012 in Birmingham and will include a celebration of the Guild of Television Cameramen's 40th anniversary.
The GTC Council considers the Awards to be a key element in preserving and promoting the professional status of television cameramen, by providing peer recognition to the Award winners, and through raising the profile and awareness of the GTC to its members, sponsors and others in the television industry.
As the GTC Awards event did not take place in 2011, all nominations from the last eighteen months have been carried forward for the 2012 event.
All programmes transmitted from 8 July 2010 until
31 December 2011 are eligible for nomination for the 2012 GTC Awards.
The GTC is delighted that Vitec Group plc's Videocom Division, whose brands include Vinten and Sachtler, will be the lead sponsor of the GTC Awards 2012.
