GTC Awards 2010 with free seminars

The GTC Awards 2010 will be presented at the prestigious BFI Southbank London
on the evening of Tuesday 28 September.
This year the event is free to attend. The evening Awards presentation is now fully booked but you can still register to attend the afternoon of seminars and trade show at: www.eventelephant.com/GTC-2010Awards
This year's free seminars will look at the hot topic of 3D TV and the constantly important subject of 'how to get more work'. Plus there will be all sorts of new products to view at the sponsors' trade show.

The programme for the day is:
13.00–14.00 Registration and Viewing of Sponsor Products
14.00--15.30 Seminar: 3D – Giving a New Dimension (NFT3)
15.30–15.45 Tea/coffee available
15.45–17.00 Seminar: How to Get More Work (NFT3)
17.00–17.45 Drinks Reception in the Mezzanine Gallery
18.00–20.00 Awards Presentation ((NFT3) with introductory talk from presenter Nick Knowles
Plus:
- The long-awaited ARRI Alexa will be on the premises - visit the ARRI stand to see this brand new camera format.
- Owen Roberts will be demonstrating Steadicam Pilot for lightweight cameras throughout the afternoon and cameramen will be able to try out the rig for themselves.
- The GTC is delighted to be able to mark the centenary of long-term sponsor company Vinten with a special display commemorating 100 fantastic years of support for cameras and cameramen.

Tips from the experts and employers on how to promote and present yourself in order to improve your chances of landing more work. The GTC has invited Donall McCusker from the Production Managers Association, Stuart Hatton of The Crewing Company and Joe Mahoney of Production Base to lead the discussion around this crucial subject for all freelancers.
