Are you free next Monday? Come to the GTC Wildlife Workshop
The good news is that GTC members are busy working. The slightly bad news is that we now unexpectedly have a couple of free spaces on our Meet the Wildlife Filmmakers workshop.
This great day out on Monday 28 June at The Avon Wildlife Trust near Bristol promises to be a goldmine of information
for all – both experienced and newer to the game – who would like to learn from the experts about filming and putting wildlife programmes together, as well as the specialist techniques involved.
The outstanding list of tutors includes:
* Top wildlife cameraman John Waters
* Timelapse and motion control expert Tim Shepherd
* Mike Salisbury OBE (producer of five David Attenborough series)
* Karen Partridge (producer of many acclaimed wildlife series)
This is such a great line-up, it would be a crying shame if a single place went unfilled so if you find you are now available on Monday, do take advantage of this opportunity to sign up for an amazing day out in the country. Where else can you get tuition of this calibre completely free of charge apart from through membership of the GTC?
To book a space, contact Clive North on: workshops.07@gtc.org.uk
The GTC is grateful to:
* Sarah Pitt of Bristol Wildlife Filmmakers for her help in organising the workshop;
* Panasonic who will have the P2 Varicam (AJ-HPX 2700) and AJ-HPX 3700 cameras on display and available for members to test in the field. If a camera is available in time, the new AG-HPX371 1/3in chip camera will also be on show;
* Pyser-SGI who are providing Fujinon HD lenses including (subject to confirmation) their HA 42 x 9.7mm image stabilised lens; the HA 25 x11.5mm compact lens; HA 23 x 7.6mm ENG lens; plus TSP58 bolt-on optical stabiliser;
* Vinten, who are celebrating their 100th anniversary this year, will supply full support for the Panasonic cameras and Fujinon lenses in the shape of the Vision 250 system, the Vision 100 system plus Anton Bauer batteries and chargers.
