Gemini helps Julian White to create Disney magic
A sprawling manor house clinging to the rocky Irish coastline, a 12-year-old criminal mastermind and a secret underground fairy world make up the unique elements of Disney’s magical adventure movie Artemis Fowl. Four years in development, director Kenneth Branagh brought author Eoin Colfer’s epic fantasy to the big screen in 2020 with long-term collaborator DoP Haris Zambarloukos BSC GSC and his chief lighting technician, Julian White on board to provide the special creative lighting needed to tell the tale.
With a mission to create a richly saturated colourful fairy world, Litepanels Gemini Soft RGBWW lights were essential in Julian’s palette of lighting tools.
