Adam Ford
I am an award winning Lighting Cameraman and I have worked on various network and regional series, news items, live events and corporate films. The Productions cover many different genres and include observational documentaries, factual entertainment, reality dating formats, gardening, history, cooking, motor, DIY, sport, informative, fitness and hard hitting fly on the wall programmes. Many of the Productions have been Presenter/New Talent led, have involved multi Camera shoots on location as well as VT inserts and working with children. My work has taken me to a very wide range of locations including Iraq, The Caribbean, America, Falkland Islands, Scandinavia, Iceland and all over Europe. This has not only given me experience of filming in extreme weather conditions but also improved my cultural understanding and communication skills.

‘Heston Blumenthal on Michelin Impossible’ – Renegade Pictures. 5 x 60’ for Channel 4. 2010. After his success in turning round Little Chef, Heston wants to take his totally unique approach to food out to the wider world. Lighting Cameraman on an episode where Heston try’s to solve a major culinary challenge for the Royal Navy.

‘Ty Pennington’s Homes for the Brave’ – Twofour Broadcast. 5 x 60’ for Home. 2010.
In this emotional five part series, Ty Pennington (Extreme Makeover: Home Edition) will help British soldiers who’ve returned from the front line and, for a myriad of reasons, face an entirely new way of life. Camera Operator.

‘Feast of Dorset’ – Hill Tribe Productions. Promotional film for the Feast of Dorset website. 2010. A celebration of seasonal West Country food and drink in an enchanted secret garden. Self Shooting Director.

Liza Tarbuck (Extras, Linda Green) and Huey Morgan (Fun Lovin’ Criminals’ frontman) present a new prime time entertainment show celebrating our endless fascination with everything to do with animals. Liza & Huey’s Pet Nation is a one stop shop for rejoicing in everything we love about animals. Lighting Cameraman for many of the VT inserts in the studio show.

‘SSAT – Our Life, Our Curriculum’ – Twofour Communications. 20 x 4’ and 1 x 20’ films for web and DVD. 2009.
A fascinating and unique documentary following twenty school children from across the UK. The children are revisited for year two of a 7-year project following their progress through Secondary school, told through their eyes. Director and Lighting Cameraman.

‘James May’s Toy Stories’ – Plum Pictures. 6 x 60’ for BBC2. 2009.
James May takes iconic toys of yesteryear and by spectacularly supersizing them attempts to make them relevant in todays technologically obsessed world. Camera Operator on a multi camera shoot for one episode, where James attempts to break the World Record for the longest stretch of a model railway.

‘Soldiers’ Stories: Northern Ireland’ - Point of View Productions. 1 x 120’ for The History Channel Worldwide. 2009.
It is 40 years since British troops were first sent onto the streets of Northern Ireland. In this 2 hour documentary for The History Channel, former soldiers share their powerful stories and memories of serving in the Province from the late 60s right through to the 90s. This project included a lot of Reconstruction. Lighting Cameraman.

School For Spies uncovers the secret SOE training establishment which operated at Beaulieu during WWII. A 'finishing school' for agents who were about to be dropped on dangerous missions, behind enemy lines. This project included a lot of Reconstruction. Lighting Cameraman.

‘Seaside’s Last Resort’ – Twofour Broadcast. 6 x 60’ for Virgin 1. 2009.
Duncan Bannatyne, one of Britain’s most recognised and successful business entrepreneurs, will swap spreadsheets for spades as he takes his expertise to the coast in the hope of restoring our fading seaside tourist attractions. Duncan will unveil our mended shore attractions in a star studded grand finale complete with local community support. Lighting Cameraman.

‘Save our Boozer’ - Twofour Broadcast. 5 x 60’ for UKTV. 2009.
Save Our Boozer will see millionaire landlord Jay Smith lead five communities as they revamp their stricken pubs, taking them over for good as part of a mission to bring back the great British boozer in their home town. Everyone involved will be trained in all the necessary skills to run their pub as a successful not for profit organisation, ploughing any money made back into their community. Lighting Cameraman.

‘Beneath The Smile, Think, Listen, Learn’ – Twofour Communications 1 x 30’DVD. 2008.
A hard hitting educational DVD written and acted by teenagers with mental health issues regarding their various life experiences such as bullying, bad teaching, and relationship issues. This project included a lot of reconstruction. This DVD won an award for ‘Best Non-Broadcast Production 2008’ at the Royal Television Society Awards. Director and Lighting Cameraman.

‘Coastal Kitchen’ – Denham Productions. 8 x 30’ for UKTV Food. 2008.
An entertaining cookery series in which Michelin star chef Mitch Tonks shows former Rugby World Cup winner Matt Dawson the arts of catching and cooking your own food in various coastal villages around the country. Lighting Cameraman.

‘Conversations with a Serial Killer’ – Twofour Broadcast. 8 x 60’ for LIVING. 2008.
Factual documentary/entertainment series exploring the lives of some of America’s most notorious serial killers. This project included lots of Reconstruction, paranormal investigation and multi-camera shooting. Lighting Cameraman.

‘Children’s Hospice South West’ – Point of View Productions. 1 x 45’ DVD. 2008.

An emotional and sensitive Historical Documentary about the people of the Falkland Islands and their personal accounts of how the war in 1982 affected their community. I hold a clean driver’s licence and have an I – Visa for working in America.
