The GTC is supporting the NaSTA 2015 Awards

The GTC's Social Media Officer and Forum Administrator James Milligan will be representing the GTC at this weekend's National Student Television Association (NaSTA) Conference and Awards.

The 2015 NaSTA annual conference and awards evening is  being jointly hosted by UCLAN student TV station PSTV and Lancaster University student TV station LA1TV.

Also involved with the NaSTA Awards this year has been GTC member Chris Yacoubian who was the judge in the Best Cinematography category, which attracted 25 entries.

As well as the coveted 2015 NaSTA Awards that will be presented across a wide range of genres, the conference includes an extensive programme of workshops across a wide range of subjects covering everything from 'A guide to sports broadcasting' and 'How to get into TV and runner survival tips' to more basic topics such as 'CV help'.

The National Student Television Association has been supporting student television in the UK for 41 years. There are currently 44 affiliated stations who compete in the annual NaSTA awards and there are 23 awards categories this year.
