Thanks to your steadfast support, the Foundation has gone from strength to strength since it was established and we're keen for more of you to get involved in helping us further our mission. We're seeking volunteers to join us in a range of roles including trustees, mentors, fundraisers, 1st and 2nd ACs, youth volunteers and event organisers and participants.

Safety at Work

Monday is the annual World Day for Safety and Health at Work, a crucial reminder of the importance of safety in the workplace. It's an opportunity for all of us to raise awareness about the Foundation’s mission to make sets safe. If you haven’t already done so, please consider taking our Screenskills Level 2 Production Safety Passport course to ensure your safety on set.

Fundraising

We are delighted that Andy ‘Elvis’ McGovern raised over £1360 (and counting) for the Foundation by running the London Marathon last weekend and are deeply grateful for his support. These initiatives play a vital role in generating funds for the Foundation, with every contribution directly helping to further our mission: to promote better health and safety practices on all film and TV sets, as well as providing opportunities for young individuals in the industry. If you're interested in fundraising for us please email contact@markmilsomefoundation.com.

Foot in the Door

The search for the next Foot in the Door trainees is now in full swing. Schools and colleges from all over the country have been submitting applications for those students that would benefit from our programme as they embark on their careers in film and TV. The deadline for applications is on 28th June. Thereafter we will review all the applications and call in a number of individuals for interview. The new trainees will then be announced in September. If you’re interested in giving them work experience or job opportunities or would like to mentor our next generation of trainees then please email us at contact@markmilsomefoundation.com.

With warmest regards from all of us at the Foundation
