On Tuesday 4 June, the GTC will be running an exciting event, a FREE workshop for GTC members only. All about lighting for unscripted productions, at Verve in London. Aimed at members in the early days of shooting documentaries, who want to grasp the basics of lighting.
The workshop will be hosted and led by GTC member, and highly experienced documentary Director of Photography, Stephen Foote.
Stephen will talk the delegates through lighting from a single, bare source light, looking at how it performs on its own from different angles and distances. He will demonstrate how the use of a Fresnel Lens, Projector Lens, and soft box can be used to modify the quality of light and how each of these modifiers might be used in a lit interview.
During the morning Stephen will also discuss how to use a panel light as a key light whilst using a modified hard light on a background, and soft backlights to rim light a talking head. He will also discuss the practical aspects of using different types of lights, kindly supplied by Essental Photo & Video, showing what can be achieved by using less, rather than more light.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to take your productions to the next level!
