GTC Sponsor, Rosco announces it will showcase two products at the 2023 Cine Gear Expo in Los Angeles on 2 and 3 June. Visitors will be able to experience the revolutionary Rosco RDX LAB™ System powered by FuseFX software as well as Rosco’s line of DMG lighting fixtures, including the new DMG LION™.
Having exhibited as a prototype at last year’s Cine Gear Expo, the RDX System has since received substantial upgrades and is ready to make its official debut. Combined with Rosco’s extensive digital content library with advanced in-camera visual effects software from FuseFX, the RDX System unlocks more potential from LED-based virtual productions. Attendees will see first-hand how the system is controlled entirely through a user-friendly mobile app to transform traditional backdrop imagery into a Live Action Backdrop on any LED volume. They’ll also witness how easy it is to manipulate images to reflect depth, zoom, moving traffic, weather, the time of day, and more.
Also on display will be a prototype of Rosco’s all-new DMG LION™ LED Fresnel. This powerful, 13-inch, 1,500-watt fixture will be the newest member of Rosco’s DMG Lighting range of fixtures for the film, TV, and broadcast industries. When developing the DMG LION, Rosco’s mission was simple – build a Fresnel and do it well. The result is a state-of-the-art fixture that replicates the look and feel of the illumination generated by the classic tungsten Fresnel, but with all of the versatility LED technology provides.
Features will include:
Lauren Proud, Vice President of Marketing & Digital Experience at Rosco, says:

From cost savings to creative flexibility, our new products bring significant benefits to filmmakers, cinematographers, set lighting technicians, and production crews. We’re excited to demonstrate how Rosco’s technologies can bring more value to productions of any size.
