Adam McDaid, cinematographer based in Brooklyn, NY, USA shot season two of Single Drunk Female on two sets of TLS rehoused Canon FD lenses (20, 24, 28, 35, 50 & 85mm) that were provided from Keslow Camera, rental house. Adam also used his very own personal TLS rehoused Petzval 58mm lens that he bought from TLS in the spring of 2022.
Single Drunk Female is an America television series that first premiered its first season on Freeform (American TV channel) 20 January 2020. A quirky comedy drama that takes the viewer through the events of what this particular young female goes through to fix all of her wrong doings. Season two was released earlier this year in April 2023.
Adam explains why vintage lenses work so well in a production such as the 'Single Drunk Female' and specifically why the Canon FDs and Petzval were so beneficial for this setting.
TLS offer the rehousing of the Petzval 58mm and the 85mm lens.
The rehoused TLS Canon FD range includes the 10mm to the 85mm.
