The Vega lenses were originally designed and built to help the filming market’s growing demand for a lens that would be capable of covering the larger full frame digital camera format. GTC Sponsor TLS, made the Vega project a priority after hearing the requests from its customers. It researched and developed many models before having the design spot on. Since the launch of the Vega lenses in 2020, the lenses have become more and more popular every year. Receiving excellent feedback from those purchasing and using the Vega lenses worldwide.
The Vega lenses are professionally built all in house at TLS headquarters, using Nikon glass, by TLS trusted lens technicians. The Vega housing is built using the same steps as TLS’s renowned rehousing process. Therefore, there is 300 degrees focus rotation and solid stainless-steel stops on both focus and iris movement.
They have accurate and repeatable dual focus scales, available in both imperial and metric. The integrated anti-backlash cam system means you will not get any image shift and your focus markings will repeat reliably. The spacing of the focus marks is also helped by using a non-linear cam and as a result, whether pulling focus close or at longer distances you will hit the mark every time.
The Vega lenses are available in a set of ten lenses, including 20mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 58mm, 85mm, 105mm and 135mm focal lengths, ranging from T1.5 to T2.
