Sony G Master Cine Modded Prime Set - 14, 24, 35, 50, 85 & 135mm - E Mount

The set includes six lenses of varying focal lengths, including 14mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 135mm. The lenses are designed for use with Sony cameras and are ideal for capturing stills or video. These lenses have been cine-modded, making them easier to work with in a professional video capacity. For example each lens has a 0.5 pitch gear attached to the focus ring for the use of wireless or manualfollow focus units. The front diameter of the lenses has been standardised to 80mm allowing them to take a clip on matte box and receive screw filters at 77mm. The exception is the 14mm which is such a wide lens that it has no front filter thread. Instead included is a locking filter holder which is custom made by NISI for the lens. This can hold square filters in front of the lens. Each lens again with exception of the 14 mm comes with an 80 mm push on lens cap. All the lenses have clear marking labels to the caps and the lens bodies. The 85 and 135 lenses were recently serviced for a high profile job, then were cleaned and calibrated as the client had very specific demands. Before buying this set, I tested the lenses against some of the higher budget cine lens competitors- Sigma, Canon, NiSi, DZO and even Angeniux. In a blind test by myself and my colleagues, the Sony’s were considered the best optically. Photography - hands-down they are the best lenses for the Sony ecosystem. I believe this is some of the best optical quality at this price point, beating other lenses for a clean look, that with FX camera settings can be tuned for a specific look. For example, you can reduce the amount of shading or chromatic aberration or focus breathing in camera. Combining this with front element matte box filter can provide a range of different looks from very modern to a clean vintage feel. The auto focus on these lenses is also exceptional and pairs really nicely with the focus gearing allowing for a manual pull focus to control the majority of the focusing but the last parts of the shot can lock to a human face or eye. Very cool. The set features lenses with prime optics at very flexible/fast F stops. They are all G Master and come complete with a lens hood, carry case and box. The gears and caps are aluminium. As expected, these lenses are all in fully working excellent condition. They all come complete with the original box case lens hood and strap. I’m really sad to have to let these go as they have become an integral part of my workflow and kit unfortunately my career path is moving in a different direction so I’m hoping these can find a good home all as one set.
